Postby cheval_fou101 » Tue May 04, 2010 4:44 pm

Hey guys, might move to Bunbury soon. Can anyone tell me anything about the surf there? Been checking out youtube and the surf atlas but there isn't much info. Thanks.

Well, there is not an awful lot immediately around Bunbury, but you are not far from the Margaret River region and lots of great waves.

There are lots of breaks, many suitable for the average surfer on smaller swells. Yallingup is a good example, they do lessons at the Margaret river mouth (you don't have to steam straight out to surfers point :-D ). Redgate beach is another break, further south along Caves Road, it's a fun beach break.
You'll be able to pick up a free surf map, which shows the well known breaks in the area, from tourist informations in the area.
