hawaii trip

Postby Deepwaterdesigns » Sat Dec 05, 2009 4:35 pm

hey all,
so to my great suprise my girlfriend mentioned she wanted to go to hawaii this year for her birthday :woot:
now she doesnt surf although she has done a lesson before and is willing to try some more, however im a competant surfer and looking to enjoy some great waves where she could watch from the beach or just relax but that isnt packed with begginners or a locals only spot and preferably close to a nice hotel so i can get up and surf before she gets up in the morning so it doesnt seem like i spent the whole vacation surfing!
obviously because my girlfriend doesnt just want to watch me surf all week we are also looking to do some other cool things like see the waterfalls, volcanoes, helitours etc...
for those that have been to hawaii before, we are going in mid march so which island and location would be best to suit us?
any advice would be greatly appreciated

Perhaps you can try Oahu...you can still surf there and there are also art galleries that might interest your girl friend. There is also a Pear Harbor memorial there if she is interested in that bit of history.

links gone small does not work :bang: :bang:

yeah i think oahu sounds like the best bet and has the better deals online, plus would love to just go see the north shore, let alone surf it. if any one has been to oahu and knows a good hotel or great spot to surf please let me know your thoughts.

Hey man, I live in Oahu at the moment, and I'll be happy to show some spots. Just message me when you're here, and I'll show you some uncrowded spots that don't really have localism.
