Bali - Seminyak Hotels

Hello,
I'm going to be in Bali for a couple days in July. Can anyone recommend a good hotel to stay at where I could walk to a nice surf spot? I was thinking somewhere in Seminyak. I hear it's less crowded there compared to Kuta.

I'm probably an intermediate surfer - so probably not right at Ulu or anything like that.

There are many (too many) hotels around Kuta and Seminyak for me to give you info. They run from US$10 to $400 a night. But in Seminyak, they're not as close to the water as Kuta, and options are less too. When it all comes down to is your budget. My suggestion is, book only for the 1st few nights, and as you know the areas more, talk to other surfers too, you'll be able to find the better fit hotel for you. I know it's a pain in the ass to move hotels bringing all your things, but it may be worth it. Maybe if you can narrow the hotels based on your needs, I can help you with some tips. Good luck.
