Good colleges for surfing to transfer

Postby Guest » Mon Jan 26, 2009 2:50 am

Hey guys,

I am currently a sophomore at coastal carolina university. My school is about $22,000 a year and I can't really transfer to any school above that cost range. I have a 3.62 overall. So far I have only applied to UNCW which is a good school for surfing. I was wondering if anybody knew of any good schools for surfing meaning warm weather and consistent waves. I don't even really care what country it is as long as English is widely spoken (I would still need to get a job out of college though so it has to be a "good" school). I know enough spanish to "get by". Also, the school needs to have finance as a major because I'm going for finance and economics right now. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you. Most of the Cali schools the deadline has passed. I would be able to afford to go to a more expensive school as long as it was a top tier school for finance.

Try going to school in Australia. They speak English there, and American dollars worth more than Australian dollars. So, give it a try. Good luck!

You're right. I forgot that Australia has a different academy system. Have you tried New Zealand? Although I think they may have similar system to Aussie. Sorry... I know the Philippines has similar if not the same school style as American and they have American colleges there, but I cannot tell you about the surfing situation there. Might worth to do research on. Good luck buddy!

look at study abroad programs either at coastal or unc. you could spend the fall semester in uncw. then come spring go somewhere else that is warmer/better surf. and still get credits and not have to worry about transferring them and all that jazz
