June 2009 2-3 months trip

I'm a beginner surfer thinking of taking some time out in June and doing some travel and improving my skills for a few months. Looking for recommendations of where to go. Would like to go further afield than Europe maybe Asia or South America.

Where are you from? Depending on the currency where you're originated, Asia can be very cheap compared to South America. And one more thing, the further South you go in South America, it could be winter there, so it'll be cold. Do you want to stay in one country for the whole time or move around to several? Once you know, it'll be easier to plan out.
