Fuerteventura or Lanzarote

Postby ozharu » Tue Aug 05, 2008 11:00 am

Hi guys

I am off to Bali on december and i want to surf on rocky and reefy spots before get there, because i haven't surf on any of them. I am undecided between Lanzarote and Fuerteventura, both of them have reef and rocky spots though I have heard Fuerteventura is much windy than Lanzarote, but Fuerteventura is better than Lanzarote. What do you reckon?

Any hint would be appreciated

fuerte north track, many reef breaks, mellow right upto fast hollow and shallow, lobos has the sickest right hand point break when you score a decent swell. you'll be spoilt for choice, rent a good car though and watch for deep pot holes and rocks on the track. get a copy of stormriders europe and your sorted. the wind ain't too much of a problem, mainly the south of the island has the strongest but it's always offshore somewhere so don't worry

no worries mate, if it's your first time on reef then surf 'rocky point' if it's working, nice and easy beginner reef break, can walk to it easily from corralejo. have fun.
