Tynemouth

Postby toonraider » Sun Dec 23, 2007 11:51 am

I'm pretty new to surfing. On small wave days there never seems to be anyone in the water. As long as I stay in the white water, is it safe to go out on my own??

If there any other beginners in tynemouth, anychance I could tag along sometime, i dont know anyone else who surfs/willing to go out in the cold!!!

Cheers

I surf Seaburn sillysausage, but it always looks better at south shields.
I say 'surf' but i'm still learning!

Next time there's a good swell i'll try and drive up (the 3 miles!) got a black Scenic and fall off a 7'6 NSP

I am also new to surfing and I go to longsands tynemouth. I have had a few lessons but Im still nervous going in the sea alone.
One old lady sat in crusoes cafe and wouldnt move until i came out the sea as she was worried that i was in there alone! i must have looked incompetant!

I could do with someone to go with also so get intouch if you like.

I'm really interested in going surfing in Tynemouth next semester (dirty uni student, don't live in Newc during holidays)... so I thought I'd just say hi!

At the moment I'm sticking to the nearer Scarborough to surf, but around about September/October, I'll be back up in Newcastle and hoping to get some surfing done : ) It would be cool to have a couple of people to go with when I'm back up. Have board, will travel (on metro) : D

btw I was in South Shields a couple of months ago, just having a wander and a shop... it looked pretty flat.. was that just the day I was there, or is Tynemouth better?
