Surfing North of Hossegor, SW France?

Postby AlexMC » Tue May 20, 2008 3:07 pm

I know that Hossegor itself is a massive surf site, but can you find similar conditions a few kilometres north? We have just booked a holiday at a campsite in Le Vieux Port, nr Messanges (Google Maps location: 43.79588,-1.430969); I'd really like to know if we will find good surf there before we go!

There are plenty of sandy breaks that'll all work on different tides and different swells, so its worth driving about - Messanges itself holds a fantastic left, and is a pretty quiet spot. You won't be disappointed!
