New board.. What dimensions

Ive been surfing a longboard and mini mal for a while nowe and want to get a custom made shortboard... Can anyone give me any advise on dimensions i should be looking at.. im 6'1 and 83 kg... so was thinking somethin varound 6 '9 and fairly thick and a bit of width.. maybe 2'3/4 thick??

try 6 foot 8 or 9, about 20 1/2 wide and 2.5 thick. it shouldnt be that hard of a step down. maybe a 6 foot 10 if your worried about that.

Be careful about going to wide with a shortboard shape unless you keep the nose rocker right down. A short board with lots of nose rocker and width will push water infront of it slowing it down.
If i was you i'd keep the width below 19 3/4 say 19 1/2 but ask for fuller rail bands to give you a bit more float without sacrificing performance.
