Hey, I'm new to this forum but have a couple questions. I'm a relatively new surfer. I just bought a board and it had a ding so I've decided to repair it. I have no idea what type of foam is inside my board and was wondering if anyone could help me out. I'll attach some photos. The board is a 7'6" GT Surflines (that's all the information I have on it)

Thank you!

It is a soft top that the foam would be EPS foam ( expanded polystyrene foam) you can see the cells clearly, this requires epoxy resin!.
Ordinary boards are mostly Polyurethane foam, PU foam uses standard resin
If you use ordinary resin on EPS foam it will dissolve the foam.

You will need to find a suitable cloth and also EPS foam to fill the hole.
It looks like you have had a bit of an explore, or did you buy it like that!
Quite a major repair
