Surfing Waves

I am a Kook, surfing from 5 months here in Italy.
I am currently riding an Olaian 7’5’’ 80liters foamie, but I feel like I am ready to move on for a more manouvrable board to improve.
I am confident in popping up, ride right or left.

Do you think is better to move on with a Catch Surf 5’11 48liters Rnf or to a midlenght 50l like the Form Flowstik?

80L to 50L sounds like a pretty massive drop in volume. You'll also probably notice a big change in glide/paddling, if you go from 7’5’’ to 5’11’’ especially. I would probably stick with the Olaian foamie unless its really holding you back.

What if i move to a 7’2 Torq Mod Fish or Mod Fun? Are those easier boards?

What are you asking by saying "easier" ? In my opinion, going to a shorter hard board too early, will make things "harder" not "easier".

80L is almost the float of a 9'0" hard longboard. You shouldn't be going down until you got the basics down consistently.

A 7'2" will be harder to paddle and you are forced to take off where the wave is steeper. Are your skills and reaction times up to that challenge ?

Well, if you feel you are ready to go down in size, go for it. If it doesn't work, save it in the storage until you "know" you are ready. But with only 6 months under your belt, do you really know what you are "feeling" is right ?
