Buying first funboard advice

Postby ocjboard » Tue May 12, 2020 8:26 pm

I am looking for some advice on buying my first board. I think I want a funboard because it will be easier to transport and a good medium between long and short boards. I have been surfing maybe 10-12 times and want to get more serious about it.

My question is for someone my size (5’11” 160lbs) and experience what would be a good size funboard. I am looking at 7’ but am afraid that will be too small so maybe I should get an 8’.

I was looking at getting this board so any advice on this type of board would be great too thanks!

Get the maximum size that will fit in your car, elevator, dorm room etc. A 7 footer is too small for your level, but "A " board is better than "no" board. If you're looking at the Catch Surf 8 foot log why don't you just get a 8 foot Wavestorm at Costco ? ( maybe there's no Costco where you live ? )
