Hi everyone, transitioning from a Wavestorm 8' to a 5'8" foam fish. Fine paddling out and fine catching waves but can't seem to balance while sitting on it. I'm 105, 5'1". Maybe it's the volume? I'm floating on top of the water and seems to slip out underneath me any time a wave rolls by and I'm slightly unbalanced.

So how capable were you on your wave storm?
If you weren't surfing well you have just hindered your progress big time, at a beginner level you now have a 5'8" bodyboard!
Harsh answer but true

1) Not a silly question, but did you wax the deck ?
2) Does the board fly out backwards or forward ?
3) Do you dangle your feet or hook you feet under the board ?
4) What are your hands doing right before the board shoots out ?

One of these from Costco ?
