Going to be traveling soon to the Island of Madeira in Portugal and I am looking for some thoughts and advice on a board that would be most ideal in the 6-10ft range. The island has bigger waves and I think that right around the 10-12ft range will be my limit for what I would paddle out in. I have lived in Hawaii the past few months and have already had my fair share of larger waves. I did not though think I had my ideal board. If any of you chime in on this post, that have read my recent post, know I rode a 5'10 Hypto Krypto on Hawaii. I think I will want a board that is a little better suited for just the upper range of waves that I can then just keep in my quiver for those type of days. A board that I had eyed up a lot was the LOST V3 Stealth, so you guys let me know what you think of that board. As side from that, any other advice you guys might have let me know!

Since you like the Hypto Krypto, how about the Haydenshapes Shred Sled King ?
"The Shred Sled King is a step up to the Hypto Krypto model. It is the type of step up board that maintains plenty of volume and area under the chest for great paddle and stability, yet it has a forward style of outline designed to give maximum hold in larger waves."
But if you want to go with Lost surfboards, you can visit Schaper Hawaii outside the fence of the old sugar mill. ( not inside where Arakawa and Pyzels factories are ).
"Shaper Hawaii is a licensed manufacturing partner of Lost Surfboards. We offer all of Matt Biolos' designs and models, made in shop sold to Hawaiian and traveling surfers. Our showroom features a selection of stock boards as well as a significant amount of Pro-Team rider trade-ins including Mason Ho, Carissa Moore, Coco Ho, Shane & Noah Beschen, Kolohe Andino and other international surfers as well."
So you could get a board that was once ridden by one of the pro riders shaped by Matt Biolos.

The guys I know in Hawaii who surf that size waves use a board in the 8 or 9 foot range but they are old men.

Friend of mine who is a very good surfer, loves his hypto, did just this - got a shred sled king for his Indo trips. Also loves it.
