help new board

Postby Mokaa » Tue Mar 06, 2018 11:05 am

Hello everyone,

So, i did surf 3 years ago, and i sold my 6'2 board cause its too small for me now lol. Now im 6'0 and 155lbs lol, and i want to get a new board, someone wants to sell me a 7'0 shortboard for not much money lol. By the way i live in St Jean de Luz-Hossegor.

Is it a good board? I don't want a mini mal or lb..

Thanks

I want to get a new car because I sold my old one 3 years ago as it was too small for me. Someone wants to sell me a cheap car.

I live in the Uk.

Is it a good car?

Any photo of that 7'0" ? Or can you at least tell us the dimensions ?
7'0" x width x thickness.
Tail design ( pin, squash, swallow tail ? )

Usually pointy nose 7'0"s aren't classified as "short boards" , but usually as Step-ups or Semi-Guns for charging bigger waves. So what size waves you planning to ride ?

By the way, why don't you want a Mini-Mal or Longboard ? Is a Funboard or Hybrid okay ?

Ok that is a semi gunnstep up board, so the question is what is your level of skill, the board is for steeper , stronger waves, it certainly will suit the bigger to middle size beach break sessions over 6ft, are you capable of handling that.
It certainly won't be a good board for mushy or gutless waves.

The answer is no, the board is totally unsuitable, please reread what I have written with that thought in mind and what you actually surf and what the board is made for. The board looks good but reall not suitable for where you are in your skill set and what you are likely to ride! This is not putting you down rather just talking realities. :D

That board is for advanced surfer not for beginners. I would recommend more of a retro fish shape with a fuller nose and wider tail like a 7'0" Torq Fish, NSP Fish or 7S Fish

Question : You used to surf a 6'2" in 6 foot surf ??

Btw, 6ft surf for jaffa (and I assume waikikichan) is 6ft Hawaiian. So double overhead/12ft faces
