High volume shortboard vs longboard
Posted: Mon Mar 27, 2017 1:01 pmHello, I need an advice on my second board... I'm an intermediate surfer, catching waves and doing basic turns... 35 years old, 68Kg (150lbs).
My main surfboard is a 6'4''... I'm from Italy... so... quite weak and messy waves compared to the ocean...
I'm planning to take a second board for the VERY small days... when with my board i wouldn't even think to go in.... and for all you folks that are lucky enough to live near the ocean: think about a weak day of your own and divide it by ten!
Here's the question: would be better a good old longboard or a shortboard with high volume? Is there any substantial difference or it's just a matter of preference?
Actually I'm more inclined to the shortboard just for the convenience to put it inside the car during transport but it's not a problem either way.
