Small wave boards

Hi i'm a beginner-intermediate surfer from New Zealand and I'm currently 14,100 lbs and 5.3. I've recently been having trouble paddling and catching waves on my 5,9 JS Lowdown which is probably the wrong board for 1 to 3 ft as I'm not good enough for 22L at this stage. I surf nearly ever single week at the local beach break which is 1 to 3 ft most days.

I've been looking around at a few boards like the Hypto Krypto and Average Joe because they have a nice load of letres which I shouldnt have a issue with paddling and catching waves with as I catch only a few waves each session hoping getting the right size board will increase my wave count quite a bit. Is there any boards you would recommend or sizing. Im quite hooked on the Hypto Krypto but am no quite sure of the sizing yet. Thanks in advance (:

At 14,100 lbs you'll need a lot more volume than 22 litres! :-D

Yeah that's mainly the reason I'm struggling right now where as both the boards I'm looking at have around 30L so hopefully that should be enough. What would you recommend?

Where in NZ do you surf? I'm
Probably around the same weight and 28l is my smallest short board, especially
For small waves.

There's tonnes of cheap boards on trademe around that volume

I'm from up in Auckland, what dimensions are you looking for? I'll keep an eye out. Barron surfboards make amazing custom boards, way better than an off the shelf hypto or Ci board

Bought the hypto and loving it I've had two sessions and have double my wave count and improving me going down the line. (:
