Hey all. Need some help. I'm hosting an American film crew. They have a day off tomorrow and all they wanna do is hit the beach.

And suggestions welcome but otherwise...
Bondi or Maroubra?
Best place to hire a board (other than first one open)?
Best board for local conditions? They mostly ride 6.8/7.2

OK it takes more than that idea, based on winds first. NE wind Bondi. Facing south NE handles well several board hires, not a classic beach over crowded with a zoo of tourists, with no idea of surf etiquette.
Maroubra catches different swell, and has a north end for shelter from the NE. Lots of different peaks less crowds but a strong local crew. I'll post this and give you a surf report.

A 4 to 6 ft SE swell, winds variable, I'd suggest Maroubra if they are reasonable surfers........ tell them about not surfing in the flagged areas, btw parking is easier at The bra.
They should have been there yesterday

If you consider the northern beaches Long Reef could be the go! Or on the Manly Stretch you can adapt to different wind conditions at the appropriate end board hire there.

You must have taken too long to reply to the initial comment. Next time try for under an hour

Doesn't this forum have a 24 hour staff to answer questions like the Butterball Turkey hotline ? " Help my Turkey is still frozen, can I use a hairdryer to thaw it out ? " Hi, Ummm.... I just dropped in on this big local. He's about to draw back his fist, What should I do right now ?"
