Hi,
I'm 20 years old, 6'1, And my weight is 176 pounds.
I started surfing not too long ago and I want to advance from softboards.
I was wondering if I should buy a 6'8 funboard or should I look for a something different?
Thanks for helping

A 6'8 funboard is likely too short to be good learner board. I'm 6'3 and 180lb and a 9ft longboard was a good starter for me. Sure you can start shorter but it just makes things harder.

Or an 8ft wavestorm is perfectly fine for the first 6 months or so

Well it depends on what size Softboard you were riding. Don't get too much smaller than that. It is highly unlikely your softboard was a 6'6"-6'10", so a 6'8" is too small. So what size is your Softboard ?
