Would this board be ok?

Postby knights12 » Fri Sep 23, 2016 8:13 pm

Posted the other week about a board but it had sold!

I'm 5'6, no more than 65kg, newish to surfing. Happy standing up in white water, having a go at green waves now.

Looking for a cheap second hand board to progress on - would this be any good or too much? https://www.gumtree.com/p/surfboards-wi ... 1189520970

Any advice would be brill!

Done some googling but not sure!

Would be better if it were a 7'6", since that's whats your comfortable on. Going smaller, even 4 inches, will be harder to paddle. If you are still only going straight in the white water, bigger is better. You still don't have the Timing, Power and Positioning down yet.
That said, it's a good durable board and will be a board you can have fun learning to turn once your starting trimming along the face. Seems like a good price and in good condition.
