Hi guys. I'm a begginer surfer, I've been on softiEs for a while and now I bought a fat boy. I'm short and skiny hahahahaha the board has quite a rocker.
What are your thoughts about that kind of a board.
Thanks

Depending on what you can do as a Beginner ( can you catch green waves, do you get up on one knee first ? ) , 6'7" might be too small.
Depending on what size your Softie was, 6'7" might be too small.
Depending on what you think your body as being Short and Skinny, it might be too small. I am 5'2" 120lbs. Are you shorter and skinnier than me ?
Depending on what you think is Rocker is like, it might have a lot or not so much. No rocker is not good. Too much rocker is not good either.
You didn't say if it's has a Single fin, 3 fins, Swallow tail, Round pin tail, pointy nose, round nose ?

You probably want to know if it's a good board. I don't know with out SEEing it or you describing it in better detail.

I'm 170 cmm and 70 kg. I think that's somewhere around 5.9 and 134 .
I'm not on my knees thanks to good instructions . Softies and minimal that I tried were usually from 7,2 to 7,6. On minimal 7,2 I felt really great.
It has 3 fins and round pin tail, pointy nose and the Widest point is moved to the front ..the tail is slightly ticker .
Thanks for the answer

I'm catching green waves, let's say that I'm able to catch 50 % of the waves or even more if the conditions are good.

you may have to give more details as to the board eg the shaper/maker - there are many boards called 'fatboy' (or an internet link). At least the width and thickness

As you have already bought it, then you may as well just surf it and see how it goes. If you are catching waves then its a great choice; if you arent then you need to work on things.

A photo would help, but you bought the board before you asked what might be better. So maybe you will just have to make best of it!
Lots of posts about board size for skill levels, have read through.
You can do it but it will be harder!
