First board advice.

Hello, A local surf shop near me has a Torq 6'10 fish for sale for relatively cheap, ($250.) And I am wondering if this would be a good board to learn on. I took my first lesson about 2 weeks ago and have only surfed 8'4 and 7'6 foamies so far, I'm on the east coast, (Southern Maine.) I'm 13, 5'8, and 120 lb.

Its not the best board, its designed for mid sized waves (ie not what you will surf on as a beginner and I don't think the waves in Maine are very strong? Don't know the area), has a fair bit of rocker (the curve in the nose) and wont be the easiest to learn on. The torq funboard ('mod fun') is a better choice.
However, its still a pretty good choice - as you are only 13 you can pick up skills very easily and (I presume) are injury free and enthusiastic. So go for it

Maine can definitely get large long period punchy waves.

Yeah waves in maine can get pretty strong, and are generally waist to chest high.

All relative.....large for Maine might be something else for those used to Hawaii, Bali or Goldy conditions...waist to chest high is flat here.....

Oh yeah Maine waves are nothing like Hawaii, but they do get decently big.

I had the 6'6 torq fish, and currently have the 7'2 torq fun board.
I did look at the 6'10 for awhile and was tempted by it. When I was a beginner I went from a 7'6 to 6'2 fish so if you persist, i'm sure this board would be 'ok' depending on your weight. I'm only 66kg (148 lbs) so even the 6'6 caught most waves but the 6'10 would've been better.
Saying that, I love my 7'2 and have used it in everything from knee high mush to overhead and steep.
If you're around my weight, have time to go surfing semi-regularly and persist, i'm sure the 6'10 would be ok.
