Hey guys,
I have recently purchased a new Channel Islands surfboard from CI store in Santa Barbara, I have decided to buy blem board(A board with minor cosmetic imperfection), the seller told me that the the board has no dings at all, at home I have founds a small defect, it doesn't look serious to me but I just want to make sure I have nothing to worry about(it's my first board),
Thanks

Where is the defect? That teeny pressure dent? That is just the first of many....if you got a decent discount I wouldn't worry and even if you didn't that could have happened on the ride home anyhow....cherry is popped now, was sure to happen sooner than later....

Thanks for the response,
Should I fix it?
(It doesn't look like it has penetrated the glass).

Part of the strength of of fiberglass is that it can bend and not break. As long as the resin also doesn't break there is no need to fix it. A simple rule is to run your fingernail over it and if it catches then the resin is disrupted and you need to patch it. Also watch for pinholes where there is just a small break in the resin and what you will notice is a bead of water if you dry your board off and set it in the sun for 5 minutes.
