I've been looking through a few Craigslist ads for a 7'2-7'6 funboard/hybrid, as it's something I'd like to move onto from an 8' foamboard, and I found this:

How would that board be for my second surfboard? I'm about 5'8 (1.73m), 140 lbs (63.5kg). It's a "Becker Pro Hybrid Fun Surfboard" with dimensions 7'5.5" x 21" x 2" for $195. I feel like it's not overly expensive relative to other boards I've seen and its shape/size look manageable.

What do you guys think? I'm still a beginner and have been surfing for only a couple of months every other week using an 8' Costco foamboard, and I'm wondering if this board is a good next step.

Looks like a well thought out next step just have a check of the foams where the ding is for too much yellowing and along the centre stringer, at the nose and tail and along the rails for signs of water entry.
If its all good go for it! :D

Something tells me that board is a molded epoxy.

If the board is molded epoxy , it may well be an older old and it will have sucked water if it is squeezy forget it?

How can you tell? Is it bad enough to make it not worth buying?

Notice that the stringer disappears near the tail ? I think the lines may be painted on, thus a molded epoxy. Nothing wrong with that. I mostly ride molded epoxy. Care and repair are different. Good deal if there's no water inside.
