Surfing Waves

I'm looking at getting a new long board and I don't really know dimensions very well and what they are good for.
Here are the dimensions;
10' X 23.5 X 3 1/8
Rolled bottom, tail kick, 50/50 rails.
Hips back of center with a narrow nose.
What would this board be good for? Would it be ok for a relative beginner? Thanks in advance for any advice.

The board is a basic log, it fits your height and weight so should paddle easy, so lots of wave catching, looks flat and so you will need to learn moving back and forward on the board as part of making it work.
It will nose ride and will be able to turn if you move the weight back.
Rails pretty much basic but unless there is some changes in the tail to the 50:50 aspect then it will be up to you to develop the skills to make the turns functional.
Performance rails not yet, get your basics down well first?
It will,teach you how to avoid pearling as it will be uncompromising in that regard, again your post doesn't show the first photo with side view and the fin set up , assuming and most likely single .

What you describe is a "classic Pig", but the photo doesn't look like one. Would it be good for a begiinner ? Maybe for a beginner that's looking to surf in the classic style with drop knee turns and a lot of Noseriding. It'll be fun at point breaks but hell at beach breaks. If you're closer to 6 feet tall , 200 pounds maybe. If you're closer to 5 feet tall, 100 pounds, no good on ten footer

It will that....l started for the first 8 months mainly on a 9'3" that was flat like that....definitely learned how to keep the nose up....9'3" was a bit big for some of the breaks I started on....board came to life once I learned how to get outside and catch waves that weren't as steep and fast as the shorebreaks I cut my teeth on (cut teeth among other things )...I'm closer to the bigger end of Wakikichan's scale BTW (185cm & 84kg) and 9'3"x23x3" was plenty FWIW....that would be a big bear to do multiple turtle rolls at my size....
