Hey I'm 13 and have been surfing for around a year I live by the sea so have been going out weekly on my Dad's 7'6" minimal but the waves aren't always that great. I would now like to get a board of my own, I was wondering if you have any suggestions on something to get. If it helps I am 5'11" and 130 lbs. Cheers

I would suggest an all round board with a bit of volume around 6'6" say about 20+" wide 2 and 1/2" thick say rounded pin A shape. Why the 6'6", gives you room to grow and it is still a board you can learn to throw around.
It would also enable you to hit the better days with confidence too.

there are other brands suitable too and there is always the second hand option.
If there are surfshops around have a good browse through their stocks.
Lastly give your Dad back his board then you can go surfing together, my sons and I really enjoy surfing together.

Hey cheers for the reply was really helpful I look the look of that board as it seems to be a good idea but I live in the UK and our beach is pretty messy so would something with a little more volume be a good idea? http://www.torq-surfboards.com/fun-68.html :D

I thought perhaps this as it is a bargain although there is more volume.

Good all rounder, again will cover your need for quite a while and a good range of waves!
