The board shop down the street has a 7S Superfish XL 7' 0'' for $400. I started surfing six months ago on a 8'0" and have since been riding a 6'10.'' I was just wondering if anyone had any thought on this board. I'm still pretty new to surfing and absolutely love it! I like the 7'0'' length but it seems pretty wide. I am 5'4'' and 140. Any advice would be amazing!

The 7S boards are pretty good boards the width shouldn't be a problem after an 8' and between the 6'10" if the board is good condition for the price. It will certainly give you the float and paddle ease.
The guy who designs the 7S boards was my shaper on the central coast of New South Wales Australia and his stuff handle anything I chose to ride so I am pretty confident about the boards.
Good luck see how you go.
Another thought for you in the hot bed of Hawaiian shaping there may well other makers/ shops who have good boards on offer.

I've never surfed one, but I know someone who's got a 7S and he absolutely flies on it. He's not a very big guy - a bit more than 5'4, but not much - so sizewise, its definitely doable for you.
