So first of all hello this is my first post,

So il get straight into it I have been surfing for around a week solid over 2-3 years and always rented foamies. I'm pretty handy on a snowboard and have done seasons etc.

Now I've just come back from Cornwall where again I rented a foamie however it was a fair bit shorter than the previous it was about 6'8-7ft. And everything was fine could catch waves etc. now for the last year I have had my eye on a board that I loved the graphics on (lame I know) after doing some research realise it could be a good step up board being a fish. (Torq Fish graffiti)

So on the final day of my holiday I walk into a surf shop and there it was on the wall after chatting with the guy behind the counter explaining my background with snowboarding etc. he agreed this board would be good to go for me. :D so I purchased the board and unfortunately drove home the same day having not ridden it.

I'm back down in Cornwall I'm august do people think I will struggle with it?

My Stats:
6'1
10 stone

Board stats:
Level - 2 > Expert
Wave Height - 2 - 6 ft+
Dimensions - 6’6” x 21” x 2 5/8”
Recommended Rider Weight 55-85 kg / 120-190 lbs
Volume - 39.6 ltr

Thanks guys,

Jake

10 stone? Is that 140 pounds? At your height that is rather thin. Oh well to your benefit since it is less weight you have to pull through the water. Go get some waves!

As promised. I surfed 6"3 this weekend. First time surfing a board this small so I really struggled. Wave was around 3-5 feet and I was totally out of shape after no exercise for 2 weeks. I managed to catch a few waves but it wasn't great. I'm 172cm and 63kg. Maybe it would've been better if I'm in a better condition. I couldn't duck dive properly so I kept losing my board which drained my stamina pretty quickly. When I caught the wave I was stuck to the face and just can't do much.

But I did manage to catch a wave on my first try and didn't fall! So I would say it is still a success! Sorry can't give you more feedback as I only took it out for an hour and didn't try it anymore as I didn't even have the strength to use my longboard.

I think you will be fine, cos I move from 9" to 6"3, its a massive difference. Whereas you surfed much longer than I have and on a much smaller board.

I would say it is still a good board, I wasn't expecting to be able to catch any waves at all.
