Can I sand the fins to fit into the futures box?

Hello,

Is it possilbe to sand the sides of a Futures thruster fin to make it fit into the futures box. I bought a thruster set and the length is perfect but the width is wider and it is impossible to press hard without damaging the box and board. I heard people sand their fins for it to fit, is that something that I can do or need professional hands? What materials do I need to sand them?

Thank you for any thoughts.

Yes, a disc sander, orbital sander, or by hand , a good wood rasp or file, sand a little off each side until it fits.
If using power tools eye protection, and a dust mask are a must. The fin will not be out by much

Thank you for the advice, it did work. I bought a type 80 coarse sand paper and manually sanded a little on each side like you said, each time until they finally fit. It was slightly tough pressing onto the box opening but they fit right in once inside. I was afraid that if I sanded them some more just to fit them past the box opening, then I could potentially loosen the fit once settled in.

Thank you for the advice.
