Surfing Waves

Hi

I've surfed 4-5 times. Not very good!

Can I learn from it? I am 5'11 (180cm) and 67 kg.

Would love to as could use a scooter from same guy and travel around on it? Seeing him tomorrow so help would be awesome!

It is much easier to learn on a longboard. I have seen a lot of people learn to surf and those that learn on longboards do the best by far. If you decide to buy the fish, you could grow into it fairly soon, and they do work well in a variety of conditions.
