I am in college on the east coast and go down to OC MD to surf, I ve had experience on a 7'6 but lost it off the roof. So im in the market for a new board. I was wondering if a board that was 6'10 would work for me being a medium sized guy. I know its on the long end for a shortboard but i wasn't sure if that means its for a larger surfer. Could I surf on it?
Thanks for your help! take it easy,
Your fellow surfer

You know what the great thing about this site is? There's so much valuable info you can get from searchin' around a little bit. I swear I've seen this ? a couple times. Also just this site in general has information on boards that'll meet your needs.
If you've only had experience with a 7'6" then a 6'10" will be way tricky and way harder. You could prob surf on it with practice tho.

i agree with namino. i went straight from a huge foamboard onto a shortboard and it was fine. it may take a little time to get used to where the "sweet spot" is and it will ride a little differently but this shouldnt take too long. good luck
