Surfing Waves

Basically, I'm a complete beginner at this, and my parents have been nice enough to buy me a foam beginners board as a surprise. However, I am 6'2 and the board is only 7'2...is this going to be too small for me or should it be OK being a foam board and more buoyant? I've been watching beginners videos on youtube and think that I may not be able to position properly on the board to paddle/pop up.

Not ideal, but as its a foam board it'll have plenty of float. There'll be some wobbles, but you should still be able to stand up on it.
