Board question

Postby JupiterSurfer » Wed Mar 25, 2009 2:22 pm

I'm a novice level surfer and am ready to go down in board size. I am thinking of getting a board that is shorter and has less width. Will a board that is 22 3/4 wide be drastically different than a board that is 23 1/2 wide? Thanks

I started on a 10'6 x 23 1/2 x 3 1/2 Walden Magic Epoxy. I can stand up and get down the face pretty regularly. I have just begaun trying t learn to turn. (Any advice on this is appreciated as well) I bought a 9'4 x 23 1/2 x 3 1/8 poly. I can handle it about the same. I want to get a 9'4 x 22 3/4 x 3 epoxy SouthPoint Downing model. I figured it would be more durable as I am still a novice and pretty hard on my boards. Thanks
