dimensions for me!

im 5'5" 155. atheletic. need help with what would be the best dimensions for me for a short board. (in other words, the point where the board is almost too small for me) i live in San Diego (if that helps)

you said in an earlier thread you ride a 6'10 shortboard, and can carch 3-4ft easily bottom turn etc. yet your first day surfing was 10 days ago? (you being sarcastic?)

nah i was bored and just messing around.
i've been surfing bout 2 months now. learned off a 6'10"
on that bored i can stand and bottom turn. thats about it (fixed the problem with bigger waves also. thanks for the help!
i borrowed my friends 6'0 X 18.5 X 2" and i was thinking that its probly too small for me. was freakin hard! i was abl to catch a few. but i dunno. even when i sat on it, it sank down so far that the water was up to my shoulders.

no idea about what board tho... not all that experieced myself... sounds like 2 months in. the board you're on should be fine if its working for you.. should be able to do just about anything on it if you have the skill.

why you want to change? (all this coming from a compulsive board buyer lol)

yeah man, I'd say get at least a good solid 2 years behind you, before you go jumping into a shortboard, that's what i did....but what the hell do i know. And when it comes time for you to buy that that board, get yourself a 6'0 Tuf-Lite (floats a little more) or a 5'8 fish...but wait two years...lol...or not
