Surfing Waves

Hi to all , I live Northern Ireland and I am about to progress from body boarding to surfing , I am 5ft 9in and 165lbs [about 12stone] .

I have found a 7ft 6in mini mal with a point nose and squash tail . Is this any good for me to learn on ?

what you have there is a funboard, mini-mals are what they say on the tin small mals(longboards) it sounds like it might be good for you though but a mini-mall of the same size might be better

Thanks Joem , I`ll take your advice on that one as I hope I will progress quite quickly and i dont want to go to the expence of buying another board in a fairly short space of time .
