Ok so i got a bit of experience under my belt today surfed though the board wasnt great it was a softy that those surf schools use it was 8'0 foot but problem was it didnt have anything to really grip me to the board it was just that covering that they use for show so it was a tad slipshod and really i just want to make the hard jump because if your gonna do something right just jump into the deep end and go from there.

Anyway i weight 140 oddish lb and am 5'8 foot

So i was wondering what a decent board would be for me in shortboard format i was thinking along the lines of 6'7 or 6'9.

Cheers in advance lol i bet a few people are getting sick of seeing topics like this but hey better to be safe then sorry i reckon.

I used to have a really fun 6'10" squash tail thruster about 10 years ago. I would think that you may have some luck with a similar board.

have i made my point yet? something about 7'4 will float you much better and youll progress much quicker and you can keep it for smaller days if you do fancy moving on to a shortboard. and the maintain value well if you decide to sell it!!!
