Surfing Waves

Hi,

I'm hoping for some advise on a potential board purchase. I'm a TOTAL beginner, a girl, 5'3", 110 lbs...I have the opportunity to buy a Gotcha, 7'4", Funshape -- used only 3 times by current owner -- perfect condition. I live in S>E> Florida where there are very small waves. I can get it for about 225.00 (us).

Would this be a good board for me and is it a good price? As I said, I am a total beginner here.

Yes, sounds like a good price in dollars for a perfect condition surfboard. Also, sounds like about the right dimensions for you, per your size and weight. I've never surfed FL., so I can't tell you about conditions for that board. Plenty of FL surfers here, maybe Boco Rio will post up. Good luck! Keep the stoke!

I've been looking around and someone's selling a 6'6" Funboard by Blue...I'm 5'2" and 122lbs, is this too short for me???

apparently its a great board, go buy it and have some fun.
