Board Help

Has anyone ever heard of the surfboard brand "surface"? I know a guy who sells them for around $200, not much less than they are sold for on Beckersurf.com, except i wouldn't have to pay $100 in shipping. I want to know if they are good, dependable boards, cause I'm just a beginner. I was also wondering if that is a good price.
