Minor crease on deck of board wondering about repair

Postby Makanasurfkingofkealia » Sun Jul 04, 2021 11:38 pm

I got a minor crease on the deck of my board I was wondering if I should send it to he professionally repaired. Please note it is mostly a pressure ding with only a very very small section of the glass actually being broke located in the very center of the crease right in the stringer

No, that is a Major crease and the board will snap in half sooner than later on a hard landing.
The area of the glass that has de-laminated from the wood stringer has further decreased the strength of the board.
If you take it in to a repair shop, most likely they will have to do a full wrap all around the board. It will weigh more and not flex the same as before.

Just surf it until it breaks and then get another board.
