Second surfboard decisions

Postby BrokenSurfer » Mon Dec 30, 2019 1:15 pm

Hello there,

I was wondering if you can help me out, I’m looking at getting a new board and there’s a pretty big range to decide from.
I’m 6,4, around 90kg and have been surfing a FORM flow stik (7ft 0 x 22 x 2.937. 50ltrs) for a while now. I’m starting to improve turns and want to progress to a smaller more responsive board. I have looked at the likes of HS Krypto 6,6. FireWire omni 6,4. Hydro short and gamma boards etc. Was hoping to get some input from people more experienced (and tall)
I’m edging towards either the FireWire hydroshort 6,6 or 6,8 (43&47ltrs). Possibly the Pyzel gremlin.
Any feedback is welcomed.
Hopefully hear back soon, all the best,
G.

What fin set up are you currently using on the Form flow stik ? What model and size of fins ?

Until you can really maximize the turns and push the board to it's limits I don't see why you should go down in size. The Form flow stik looks like a really nice shape and responsive enough if you put your back foot in the right place.
