Help with new board

Postby Mari » Fri Nov 16, 2018 9:01 pm

Hello everyone,

My name is Mari and I am a beginner in surfing, with just over 1 year taking waves at least 2x a week.

I have a 7'6 '' funboard that helped me a lot, but because it's PU, it's all crumpled and with several repairs.

I'm trying to evolve my surf and I only hear compliments about the Powerlight constructions and they are the most resistant ones we have today!

I'm very excited to make my surfboard with them, but I'd like the opinion of more experienced surfers about which shaper to choose ...

The funboard I'm looking for is this one:

But this mini long is also leaving me undecided, as I liked him:

What do you think?

And of all the shapers, which ones do you recommend?

Guga Arruda, John Carper, Arenque, Neco Carbone or Daniel Friedmann?

Thank you
Mari

I don’t have much to say but you probably need to indicate your skills better like tell us what you can do on a wave frontside and backside. As far as the PU board goes you need to keep it and all your future boards in good repair. I am not familiar with that technology so hopefully someone else can say something about it
So what is worse.... dying or regretting it for the rest of my life? Obviously I chose not regretting it.
