not the absolute worst board

Probably not the best board. ]

Dont get caught up in thinking that volume is everything; a longer board offers many more benefits (and some downsides) than merely being higher volume eg more stable, easier to catch waves, much greater margin of error in terms of foot placement and speed of pop up etc.

However, if (as you say) you can already catch waves consistently and turn, then it might be a reasonable choice. What is your current board?

Since you already "surf" a 6'1"-6'2" in 2-4 foot waves, I think a 7'0" x 22" x 3" will be way easier to catch waves. Brand wise, Rusty, Firewire, Seaxe, CI, etc. will NOT matter. ( will yes, to your wallet )

Hi thanks for the answers
the thing is that my limit is a 7.6 ft board I though to go for a basic funboard 7.6 ft x 22 x 3
How ever I saw this board that have enough volume and thickness
what do you think about the shape?could it be good fot waves between 2-4 ft ?
I surfed on 6.1 ft board 21 7/8 x 2 7/8 and around 38 liters
will it be easier to catch waves with the rusty board?
i can catch waves and sometimes it can be harder to turn with my current board and and how it wiil be with the rusty?the rusty its like a funboard right?
one more quiestion as I told you I cannot go on a board more than 7.6 ft
for me it will be much more harder to catch waves with the rusty compare to a fun board 7.6ft x 22 x3 ?
or it will be fine?
thanks for the help if you can please answer for all of my quiestions I wanna buy a board ASAP

I doubt there is much difference between the rusty and a fun board. There are differences, but they wont be really that noticeable to 75% of surfers

It will certainly be easier to catch waves on a 7'6 board like the rusty than on a 6'1 board

What do you mean by "sometimes it can be harder to turn with my current board" ? You mean in comparison to the 9'0" you borrowed or just in general that at your level of surfing ?

Haste makes Wastes. Rush decisions usually end in regret. But go ahead and get that Rusty. It can handle what ever the rider can input into it. And it'll be way way easier to catch waves than the 6'1". Plus the added floatation might allow you to get out on the clean shoulder to allow you to turn, instead of just wallowing in the whitewater. Hurry up and just buy it and go surf.

It depends. It not only length , width and thickness.
Other dimensions to consider:
Nose width ( 1 foot back from the tip )
Tail width ( 1 foot up from the end )
Rail design ( Full , Tapered, Boxy, Bevel, 50/50 )
Rocker ( Flat, Performance, two-staged
Bottom contours ( single to double, Full barrel , forward Vee , nose concave
Tail design ( Squash, Pin, Rounded Pin, Swallow, Diamond, Thumb )
There's way more but that enough for you to research......

Remember 10 different 7'0"s will ride completely different from each other. A Honda CBR, Suzuki GSXR, Kawasaki ZX and a Yamaha FZR are all motorcycle superbikes that have the same displacement and virtually same dimensions, but each rides a bit different. So comparing a 7'0" and a 7'6" is close but not really. What is SAME is the rider's ability.

For Range of waves.
Reef, Beach, Point breaks should be fine.

2-4 foot waves will be fine, even if you're talking about face or back of the wave. I'm sure the board can handle even up to a 6+ foot wave. Pretty much what you're willing to take off on, it can.

You've wasted another day that you could be surfing. Just buy it and go surf.
