New shortboard?

Postby ryandavis23 » Mon Dec 12, 2016 6:05 pm

Hey guys, I currently have a 5'7 lost short round. I love the board, but I want to move onto something more performancey, but not too crazy. I mainly surf in Santa Barbara and Orange County in anywhere from 2-3 to 4-6 conditions. What do you guys recommend? Also, I'm between 5'7 and 5'8 and I weigh around 135. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

This is what I read from the Lost Surfboards site, maybe it helps:

QUIVER KILLER
…Is an extension of our recently released ShortRound model. With myself and so many people enjoying the ShortRound, it quickly became clear that the short, relatively flat, and stubby board was an easy answer for fast fun in smaller surf, but with some limitations. While spending time in Bali this summer I began doing some tweaking to the design. At this the point, it would be unfair to continue calling it by the same name.

That is literally almost identical to the custom I designed! The 5'9 has only 1/8 wider and 0.3l more. Fascinating!
Exactly the same principals that I went with in terms of refinement from say a hypto or short round
