Postby Jet937 » Mon Feb 04, 2013 3:38 am

I'm 6'2'' 190, and am looking to buy a 5'10'' quad fish with a 2 1/4 thickness and 20 1/2 width. Will this board support me ?

As far as fitness, I'm in excellent shape. I'm 17 and play 2 sports (one of them is swimming). And I've been surfing for about 2 Summers on like a 9' ft longboard in fairly small surf

id go a little bigger given your weight, maybe 6 x 20.5 x 2.5. the conventional wisdom regarding transitioning from long to short is to step down 6 inches at a time, but a dude as young as yourself ought to be able to handle it, given enough water time.

Yeah that size was on my conscious, I just needed confirmation. The only reason I was looking at this 5'10'' was because of the deal, but I will def take your advice. Thanks man
