Downsizing my board???

I currently ride a 9'0 soft top surfboard and i am good at riding that so know i want to move down a board size and get a real surfboard, i have been browsing around and i wasn't sure which board to get. So i came on here looking for a little advice on which board you guys think i should get? P.S. 6'0 250 lbs.

Hi Jemohen, welcome to Surfing Waves!

At 250lbs, you don't want to come down too much. I'm assuming that you are still a relative beginner is you are currently riding a soft board. I'd suggest you swap your board for a similar sized regular longboard. You'll be able to progress much faster than if you were to go shorter or kept riding the softboard.
