what kind of fish?

Postby changerrs » Tue Aug 21, 2012 5:32 am

So, I surfed my friends' fish a couple times now and absolutely love it. its a 6'2'' x 20 x 2 5/8

What I am looking for is a fish that can bottom turn and be able to cut back on smaller waves (3-6ft)

I was thinking a 5'10'' x 20 x 2.5 quad fin. I figured something like this would have enough volume and a flat enough rocker to get up to speed pretty quickly, but its sort of small size would let me bottom turn and cut back.

What would you guys recommend?

Thanks

So if your friend's fish fits why choose something else if you absolutely loved it?
BTW its the surfer that can bottom turn or cut back, getting any sort of board will not guarantee that if you can't do those things already.

Boards are very personal... If you find one you like, stick with it, it may be a while before you find one you like as much. The only down side is, the heartbreak that comes with snapping a board that worked well for you.
Your goal shouldn't be to get on a small board as soon as possible, it should be to surf and have as much fun as possible.

came here with a similar question, eventually I want to be able to do some fancier maneuvers, but since I surf in the NE US the waves are generally pretty small, I am 5'8" and 160lbs, what size fish would you recommend?
