Transition Board Advice

Hey guys, I was wondering if you could give me some advice. I'm a beginning surfer, but I'm learning fast and catching waves without too much difficulty. I currently ride a 7'2" funboard, but I'm looking to make the transition to short boarding, and I figured a fish-style board would be the best way to do so. Could anyone recommend what shapes and dimensions would be suited for my experience level/body type/surf conditions? I'm pretty lanky, 5'9" and 125 lbs, and I surf in NJ, were conditions are variable but rarely favorable. Any advice you could give would be appreciated.
