New to Surfing (what board+size)

Postby nick_bong » Thu Oct 15, 2009 5:45 pm

Hey everyone hope your all well :)

I have a question as its one of the only things holding me back from getting out in the water.
I'm relativity new to surfing, been out a couple of times, straight away I got the Surf bug.
I'm around 5"8 135lbs 9.5stne So what kind of board is best suited to me , I found a size chart at

https://surfing-waves.com/board/board_size.htm

But I still don't know what style or make of board to get. Im also thinking something that I can still use once I advance , so something I can keep a while before i have to change.

Any idea's would be much appreciated .

Peace :) Nick

1st option will be a 9'2", 23" wide, 3" thick 50/50 rail squre tailed all rounder with not too much rocker.

Get a decent one and you can ride it as a begginer and as an experienced surfer.
