Surfing Waves

Hi all,
Part time SC resident, for now, and I always liked watching people surf.
Now, I’m a 67 yr old man and I want to, maybe not so much to ride the waves like the folks I watch, but to be able to paddle around and just let the waves just lift me and lower me and maybe catch one, lying down, back to the beach. So being in pretty “ok” shape, I decided to grab, I think, I’ll grab a 8’ foam softboard and just do it. We’ll see how that goes. It nice to be here on here forums. Joe

Hey man, that awesome that you decided to give it a go! There's a guy where i surf that kinda had a similar path.. he watched people surf until he was in his 50's.. and then decided he wanted to learn himself. He's totally hooked now and one of the regulars whenever the surf is good.
