Looking to get back on a board after a couple of decades

Looking at a 9’4” Pig/magic Sam style board next week and wondering if it’s a good option for UK South Coast and Summer Cornwall.

My surfing ability is low, although I’ve been on snowboards, sailboards, skateboards all my life so generally pick things up pretty quick. Any advice hugely welcomed!
